You can see here , that with the bike on full lock there is still loads of space between the fork leg and the chassis. The trials down south can be very tight and having a good steering is essential.In comparison with There is room for improvement here . 
In comparison with other bikes available the steering lock isnt that tight and needs to be better.

Having had a good look at it , after careful deliberation i decided to cut down the steering locks in a gradual process rather than hacking the whole lot off in one go and regretting it.
I took off half , but there was still a large gap that i could stick my fingers through between the frame and fork legs.

I then got the dremel out and removed the stops on each side all together
The new Betas stop on the chassis. The Jotagas has a reenforced area in any case where the forks would touch the frame. the result is a huge improvement in steering lock. When i turn hard to the left on full lock the fork leg stops on the JTG rubber cable stay. When i turn hard to the right the fork legs stops on the frame. I have slightly rerouted the clutch hose by pulling it discretely to one side with a cable tie.

Here  you can see the difference. It is a huge improvement. In last Sundays trial i dropped dabs because of the reduced lock. This solves the problem with no side effects

This bike already has a good lock , but not as good as the Beta lock. Now personally i wouldnt want a Beta, but i do like theyre steering lock. bingo , job done.
6 trials - 2 mods - chain tensioner and steering lock.

You dont have to do either of these , its just me improving it for me.
