Was it always inevitable that you were going to work for Montesa ?
Yes yes, when I was growing up at home, always the conversation was surrounding motorcycles and building motorcycles. Always always a conversation with motorcycles, when we were eating dinner, having lunch out with friends, it was always the same. At this time, myself, I was very keen on motorcycles and this has continued all my life until now. It was certain for me.

Why did you stop ?
I didn't stop with motorcycles all together, I was still going to the competitions and assisting the top riders. I didn't participate, I only helps the team. I was also the manager of the Enduro and trail team at the same time. I often helped with the testing of the special parts that the competition department and the research and development department manufactured. I remember the very start of the trial project, which was started by Pere Pi. Every time I visited the factory, I would go to the trial department, where working was Pedro Pi. I was very interested in this department .

I actually started riding trial not with the Cota, but with the previous trial model that was the 260 trial. I remember in summer time, in this period, Pedro Pi and Jordi Ross were visiting our second house and staying here for some time. Whilst we were all testing the bikes which was to be the new Cota model, we lived in the mountains, so this is a perfect place to test bikes. My first trial was in 1967, so this was just before the Cota model was released.
