11 - Exclusive Interview with ossa factory rider Albert Juvanteny
From a dark and dusty interior ,the small windows frame a tremendous view.
When your performance starts to dip is when you need much more endorsement and support. That’s why I said he should not have had to do that to me, I introduced him to the trial’s world. Everyone was commenting on my OSSA , as I was a renown rider, If I would have been a no one, people would have not noticed him.
He should have had to do it differently. I would have understood it if he would have said that he was going to go to Merlin and help me finish the season. If you are the top of your game maybe it does not affect you so much, as well, I could not rely with the factory as they didn’t know what they were doing!.
What was the OSSA factory like?
It was chaos, at the end! When OSSA was owned by the Giró family, things worked well. Eduardo Giró was the engineer and Borràs was the second in command. When Mike Andrews was riding for them and won the European championship, it was a boom and sold a lot of bikes all over the world, even better than here as in Spain Montesas and Bultaco.

At the World Championship in Finland in 1980 I ended fourth. It is the best result that I achieve in a World championship.
