Did you carry out some with GasGas and Scorpa some years later?
I never ride for GasGas. 2 years later after finished, only I got to Ibiza for one trial that’s all. Scorpa no. I have a shop in Fugueres In the beginning we sell motorcycles. Yamaha’s. This is my shop. I do this with another friend. My friend is in the shop, me no. He was a half partner. At the beginning we sell Yamaha and Scorpa and no only machine for the jobs in the forest and the gardens maintenance. Machines for everything. Then with Scorpa, I collaborate with the group of men from Scorpa and I work a little for
them as the engineer from Scorpa was a friend of, mine at the beginning. Not now.

No no. I was in Mick Andrews house and he has in the garden some stones and mud. It is very nice.
The land at the rear of Mick Andrew's house that he previously owned is called Bracken Rocks. Many many World Championship riders have come here and camped a few days early to practise, prior to the UK World Trial.
This terrain is very nice for me. I like this. It is very wet and the ground is like Scotland with water. This is very for trial and me. I like better the trial in the north of Europe than in the south. Yes I like the mud, but I am not a specialist of the mud.
What was you specialism?
My specialism is the turns like Schreiber but in the wet I was not a specialist but I like the conditions in the wet like the English people like Rathmell. It’s very special conditions.

When I was in Matlock with Joan Freixas at his house he drive a rolls royce and he put the motorcycle inside the Rolls Royce, silver shadow. Very big. He put the motorcycle inside ha ha ha. Everything inside. The mud everything ha ha ha ha ha. |

Team Bultaco - L to R - Ignacio Bulto, Manuel Soler, Francisco Bulto, Toni Gorgot and
When you look back, what is the trial that you remember most fondly? In Italy when I won a race in the championship of the world in Italy. It was very difficult. I won race in Italy in the world championship. The race was wrong. All was very bad. I was Italy and my mechanic come from Spain to Italy and he lost his way to the trial and he no arrive at the race. I race without the mechanic and in my mind everything is bad. The mechanic is very necessary and he put new parts on the motorcycle before the trial and improve the bike for me. He then give me water at the trial and to eat something. I drive without mechanic and I win that race. Incredible hey? When I have problems I think if this time and I can do things because of this. It was the best day for me. I remember he comes when finished the race. |
