Yes ,I thought , what can I do ?. I think the same when I make the Ossa and create this from zero. I try and what can I do to reduce the overall size of everything. What do need to do ?. I need to have a lot of inertia arriving at the chain and have the clutch here. I am trying all the time to reduce the maximum size .

Yes , this was a strange idea arrive to me in one night .Sometimes. I wake up and I am still thinking of my work. When I work every day with these things it is difficult to stop when arrive the night.
You changed the gearbox from the old 3 shaft design to the a radical new 2 shaft system . It’s so complicated . You must get lost inside your head
Xiu's 2 shaft 6 speed Pro gearbox design + neutral- Imagine waking up with this in your head - Ouch ! :).

Its not so strange for me because I do this so much . I have been thinking how to reduce the components and finally I find a way with less gears to make the same speeds. I make the first test of this 20 years ago and up to now in my opinion this was one project that after 1 or 2 years needs to improve , because every day you can improve something. But GasGas has been making the same gearbox for more than 20 years

Now I am working again for GasGas but I am working actually more to improve the production and industrialisation and not new things. This last 2 years after the project with Ossa I have been concentrating working with GasGas to make industrialisation of these components . In my opinion this has to be correct before the sell of the moto .For example when we make project still the prototype was not finished. Mr Pibernat put this on production because Mr Pibernat is very good guy but he is always full gas . For me the best arrangement was at the beginning when it was like a marriage between Mr Pibernat and Mr Narcis Casas . Mr Pibernat full gas ,but Casas is like the wife and is more slow and calm. Lets look at this , wait a moment. These 2 people together make GasGas improving a lot . When arrive one financial person in the middle, then starts the problems. It was at this moment when I leave GasGas and try to make it on my own way. Then I make the project with Ossa.

You can design something on a computer and set it up 3 dimensionally where everything seems to fit very well . Are there other aspects and problems that you have to think of , that the computer cannot tell you?.
Yes of course , big problems exist if you no follow many things.
What things?
For example you need experience. On the computer you can make design and make testings and finishes but you need to know how to apply the finished element analysis. I mean the stress analysis. For example 20 years ago when I start with GasGas normally the process to develop the swinging arm was to create one section , then test with Jordi tarres. Then he breaks it and they arrange a different mould to make stronger section . Now this has changed a lot and over this 20 years and nowadays everything can be made completely inside the computer. This includes the stress test. The finished element analysis can be inside the computer and it gives you the opportunity to make the part designed on the computer and then test the part with nothing broken . You have already arrived at the level inside the computer but you have to place inside of the computer the correct settings that you have learnt from you experience. It is not only the computer. Sometimes a lot of my different competitors who have the same software ask to me what my experience is about the load in a certain area ha ha .It is a secret and it is my experience and if I give you this then I must close my company .
How does your job compare to Paxau? Is there any similarity between your 2 positions ?
I am in a different position to Paxau. I can work with Paxau because we do not have the same sort of job. For me Paxau is a very very very good person. For example I can finished you the Ossa bike and for me giving the bike to Paxau will finish the feeling of the bike for the customer. Paxau can place the engine torque at the correct place and make a lot of changes to make the feeling right for the bike. He makes the dynamics and give the bike the final good feeling for the client . I can work together with Paxau. For me Paxau is a competitor to Jordi Tarres for example. Also Paxau has the technical passion. In one place is Tarres, in this place me , engineering. In the middle is Paxau – one part of me and one part of Tarres . Paxau is a good rider and he has the feeling .
