A tribute to Spanish off road hero Fernando randy Munoz
E - Randy was a Spanish trial champion with Bultaco. After his contract finished with Bultaco he rode motocross and the ISDT with Ossa , Montesa , Maico , Gilera, Yamaha. He died in an outdoor race crash. This is a new display at the museum to commemorate him and celebrate his life.
For the opening of this display the week before my visit , his wife came with his sons and the Bultaco staff and many many riders. They had a nice party here.
Many of randy's bikes were put on display.
The Montesa motocross bike that you can see in the centre of the photo is a very special one off bike , built especially by the factory for Randy and featuring a one off engine with different castings. The number 3 Gilera motocross of Randy's is also very special.
The blue Bultaco Pursang at the rear is a prototype. It is fitted with the Bultaco MK15 engine which was ahead of its time , however Randy tested this bike and decided not to return to Bultaco. Its not known whether the bike influenced him.
