7 - Exclusive Interview with ossa factory rider Albert Juvanteny
When I was a rider from 1973-83. Trials has been the most important part of my life. Then I spent 10 years drifting from one thing to another, JP, Alfer… this is disastrous financially. I made my money as a professional rider, with it I bought all of this and other things that I had to sell subsequently.
The best memory that I had doing trial was taking part in the 6-day trail, I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I was the first Spaniard to do a ‘0’ in the ‘Laggan locks’ zone. This must have been in 1975.

Away from the Highlands and back to Spain for these photos.
Once myself and Gorgot were about to entered a zone, I don’t remember now which one though, then Gorgot started the bike and it veered towards the observer before being in the section. Gorgot made great apologies to the official in English but the observer did not flinch at all.
I told Gorgot that the observer would give him a five, he dismissed it. Gorgot cleared the zone with a 0, then at the end of the day we went to the hotel to check the classification and he had given him a five although it had nothing to do with the section itself. He appealed against the decision but it was revoked.
I would like one day to ride this trial again but it is to much for me these days.In fact the 2 days is hard for me . The 6 days is impossible ha ha ha ha.
