So what has Filipe got to do with Alfer and Gallach's bike ?
Well....before Felipe Gonzalez was the technical director of this racing Team , he was the lead and only fabricator who worked alongside Albert Juvanty. Between them both , them build the Alfer Trial models from scratch and the Scorpa Trial models from Scratch. This strange story of the missing prototypes including unreleased watercooled models will soon be covered in a later report . The photo on the right shows Felip assisting Albert Juvanty in the fabrication of an Alfer prototype. |
Here is a photo of Felipe 2nd from right. Albert Juvanty is standing 2nd from left . The Alfer riders from left to right are Lluis Gallach standing with his actual factory bike, Xavier Esquerra and Marius Cuixeres.
This great poster was given to me by Lluis . What we can see demonstrates the point once again that these bikes were constantly changing. But were they different bikes , or just modified ?. Modified - 100%
After i had collected myself from walking into road racing team HQ Felipe walked us through to a small room at the back of the immaculately clean workshops.
And here it was .....The Holy Grail of Alfer . The epitome of Catalan passion , risk taking and tiny tiny production number manufacturing all condensed and bottled , in this very room.
Gallach's 1990 Alfer TX 300..... or was it ?. Were they mistaken ?

Can you imagine you, yourself accurately recreating these intricate tank decals ?. The tank and decals both had a nice petina.
