222c MotoGuzzi Trial photo test and specification
This test was photoed and written by Justyn Norek . He has kindly sent the information here for publication.

Location for Moto Guzzi Bartorilla test was again at PUY, where already we have tested Sammy Miller's ARIEL GON786.

As usually Carlo Ramella and Pippo Bartorilla were there closely looking at me if I do any harm to their "baby".

In fact Pippo Bartorilla started engine at first kick and made few rounds on bike to warm up engine properly, than left Guzzi to me.

I have found immediately riding position suiting me very well. That clutch released and lets go into woods to get feeling of this bike.

I quickly felt at home on this bike being quite familiar with four stroke engine as I ofter ride my Honda RTL.

Response from engine was exellent and power sufficient to do wheeles whenever I wanted.

So we wend into more difficuld terrain in local bountain stream bed, full of large stones. Bike handling was perfect and soon I started to atack larger stoned feeling very much at home and confident with bike.

Picture
Also riding in water of the stream, was pleasure and bike handled bery well on slippery sections.

Uphill, downhill, and tight turns, all was easy and natural so I forgot how many years bike had...(I was born in 1990 and GUZZI was born in 1979 !)

It really surprised me that bike felt rather modern, allowing me "surplace" and some "modern tricks" like changing direction by moving bike sideways and lifting rear wheel. Also lot of "clutching" that I am used to with my Honda, didn't seem to bother my Guzzi.
Picture

I have seen some sign of surprisse and admiration on Guzzi' s owner face, that so many modern tricks can be performed with his bike.

So I stopped get some water to dring and asked him if we should call it a day....

He said he is confident that bike is in good hands and I can continue.

That was exactly what I wanted but I would like to change location and terrain.

So we went into another bit remote area with loose stones uphill sections. Here I could enjoy again pulling power of Guzzi's engine and bike stability on

loose stones, bit similar to Scottish as Bartorilla was competing in this event.

Evening was coming and we got call that dinner was waiting, so we have turned back to home enjoying meal and good Piedmontese red wine while bike

was standing close to us and I admired her beautiful lines...
Picture
So after few glasses of wine I have asked Carlo, do you want to sell this one ?!?!?!

Unfortunately despite two bottles of table dry I have got short "no", but you can ride whenever you want !

So I asked him for next test of tiny SUZUKI 120 cc trial that I am very curiou to test. I will have it as soon as snow will melt in PUY.

Thank you Carlo !
