This is now one of the main areas of concentration for the FIM . We are also involved in trying to develop new types of racing for example now we have already discussed that electric is coming we tried many years ago to create some racing with the electronic ,but it had little success .There was a series of road racing electric bikes but they were only 6, 7 or 10 participants. Now we are trying to relaunch it ,with a donor and the donor has the rights for the road racing, even for electric. The last time I spoke with an organiser who had the responsibility I'm trying to finish the package with the manufacturers thought that he was trying to have the racing ready electric for next year but he thought this was impossible. For 2019 he expects to have a package for single marque manufacturer racing.
The below photo of Oriol and Paco Bulto sits on his office shelf. The English translation is -

To live is not only to exist but to exist and to create to know to enjoy and to suffer and not to sleep without sounding to rest is to begin to die.

On the other hand we have already established the technical rules that can be used for speedway and also in Trials . There has been trials of electric machines and it is the intention  to have a championship for the electric machines tied with the main championship.  We have had several meetings with electric trials bike manufacturers but these trials bikes at the moment are mostly for kids, there is one in England . Also Moto Beta. Mecatecno and a French  manufacturer called Electric Motion.  Electric Motion wanted to compete against the internal combustion engines but all of the other manufacturers wanted a separate circuit. 10 different motorcycles are all ready to be used for electric bike competition. The rules are already in place for electric motocross as well ,  so we will see.
In addition of his role as a development rider Oriol Bulto was the competition manager for Bultaco for many years. He assisted the company and factory by collecting motorcycle feedback from his riders and recording this for the company.

Oriol still has these records and when Retrotrials were there he dug through the records to find early documents relating to the feedback of the very first trial models.

These are the machine reports I took from the pilots at the competitions .For my job as team manager I had to complete a report after every race. It was my job to complete this .I am looking for the reports that I wrote that connect with the original Sammy Miller bike.
And here are the documents that Oriol made, that he thought would be of most interest to us. This is the record Oriol made of his own entry in Scottish Six days Trial that he talks about previously in this interview. Oriol entered the the 1964 SSDT on a Bultaco trial prototype but unfortunately retired ater machine failures. As he said previously , it was this DNF (did not finish) that allowed him the opportunity to meet with Sammy Miller for the first time and sow the seeds of machine development into Sam's mind. Note that these records were created for the personal attention of FX Bulto.

These documents are currently in the process of being translated into English

The time that I went to the Scottish with my prototype Bultaco trial with Tom Allerton was 1964 . I have the documentation and the machine report here. This is when I met Sammy. There were more than 2 pages of problems. This is the machine that Sammy tested .

These are the things I am most proud of . I received 5 Gold , 3 silver and 1 bronze medal from the six days These are my medals from the six days. I rode 9 six days in a row and always finished.
