From Vittorio Tassino - "This occasion was a round of the Italian Championship. Giovanni TOSCO was competing on his OSSA 350 M.A.R. and won the competition and also at this time conquered his second National title.
I tell you a short anecdote about Tosco. In 1998 I casually met him in a parking-place of a Ligurian coast country, Imperia . On the rear of his camper was suspended a Montesa Cota 315R. In our brief meeting he proved to be friendly and available. Considering his long career, I asked him what he considered the most important technical evolution in trial bikes (disk brakes, water-cooling, alloy frames, etc.). He answered that the most important technical improvement, under his point of view, derived from the increased adherence of the tyres !"
