After the time with  Mecatecno in 84 I rode the ‘Portús’ , which was a special water cool Montesa.
Here Albert rides the Portus in the 1985 Tres dies dels Cingles

I left at that point, he had made this bike  and a local chap rode it, but the bike did not go too well and he asked me if I wanted to ride it,  I said yes. It heated up constantly and I had to keep on cooling it down.  It was ok for a short distance trial not for a 6-day event! Just as well there were places with water where you could cool it down.  It was motos Portús. 1985.  It was the first water-cool engine.

In 1986 i was minder to my friend Lluis Gallach who was riding Montesa. I also rode a Montesa this year. It was a good time and i did much travelling and trial with Lluis. I also rode the World Championship round here in Spain, but it was very difficult for me at this time. I was really retired from World Competition come time before.

At the end of 1985 Quico Paya and me had an idea to make our own bike. We had both been friends for a long time , so the trust was there.

This was the JP. As I say before I designed this bike. The production was here in this building.
This is the room we assemble the bikes in. Now i use it for my carpentry work.

We  made these bikes from 1986 untill 1988 .We did the whole model with resin and fiber glass first with a mould. I spent a lot of time doing this but Quico Paya had his own motorcycle shop business. In reality he couldn't spend as much time as me on this JP project , and to go on and continue with the production we should have had to reinvest. This photo shows the first prototype that we made here.
