So today in my opinion, there is too much servicing of the bikes. It was much harder in my time.
You won the Spanish motocross Championship
Yes I won this three times .
Who was your main competitor ?
Pedro Pi ha ha ha ,but he won more , he Won 5 maybe . He was riding more years and me but I really enjoyed this time. In fact the first motocross that I rode in 1959 was the motocross of Manresa with my Tralla 101 with some parts that the Bultaco distributor there Foca and Pingüino (nickname of two famous bultaco riders) they lend me. This included wIde handlebars some different mudguards and some different suspension pieces and Pirelli very narrow tires . I rode from my home to Manresa on the road using the same bike.

In the first photo beneath is we think the german Motocross rider Otto Waltz
I know that you rode a number of different motorcycle disciplines . Which did you prefer motocross Enduro or Trial ?
This is the big question ha ha. I cannot answer they are so different . I have enjoyed first developing machines then riding so much. My cousin Ignacio Bulto if you asked him this question ,he prefers road racing ,then motocross ,then trial but for me everything is the same. From this race in Manresa in 1959 my Uncle started to get more interested in Motocross and then we developed the first Bultaco production motocross machine which was the Sherpa s.

The Pursang came later on. Then in 1962, with my teammates Pep Sanchez who I had been riding with on the road and also at the motocross. We went to France and we went especially to the south of France because the tracks there were longer and much better and because we got paid. At the end of the season I said, look Pepe we have earned so much money maybe 50000 pesetas - this was good money. We had enjoyed riding the spirit at the time which was very amateurish, but we had enjoyed ourselves riding Motocross on the nice circuits in France and we had earned some money. We thought to ourselves that maybe we could spend this money by riding in some Enduro which are this time was called Todoterreno.
The first 2 photos show Bengt Åberg who rode for Bultaco and Husqvarna.
There were many famous events in this discipline of cross country. There was the six days in Garmisch this year . Ossa had already tried to make an enduro bike and I rode the International Six Days Enduro with Ossa in 1958. This was shortly after my uncle left Montesa in 1958.
How attached we were to the company at this time ?
