and pilot - seven times world champion jordi tarres
Finally I produced the fork protection plates from a wastewater pipe, and took all the stuff to the paint shop. I was really excited to see the finished parts on the bike. Only the decal would be missing to get the bike finished.

Creating the outer fork guards - from start to finish. A labour of love.
Here to I gave loads of pictures to Maria of the original bike and she did the whole layout work. Finally her colleague did the print for me and all the stickers got absolute same. I was amazed how perfect they have looked.
It was just a little step to get the bike finish and I was thinking how the bike would work. I thought I couldn´t have done the bike any better. The bike should be lighter and stronger as well. I was excited. In the meantime I talked to Jordi again and got some Info about the bike and the email contact of his former minder and mechanic Pedro Olle. I spoke to Pedro´s son and he answered most of my questions. The exhaust systems which have looked so different on the Japan proto was used, because Jordi’s exhaust didn´t arrive just in time. So he had to use the bike as it was shown later in the Japanese magazine. I also got the information about where the round barrel was coming from. That was a very important info for the Jason Finn bike. |
So the last thing I had to do was to put on the painted plastic parts and the decal. Now the bike was ready and it looked incredible. I was working on this bike for seven month now and it was like to see the bike getting finished in slow motion, but now the bike was finally been done.
