The four of you appeared to be a bit of a group that really used to hang out together. Was this right?
Amos Bilbao, Jordi Tarres, Gabino Renales, Pedro Olle, Lluis Gallach, Albert Callis and Spanish federation representative Ignacio Verneda around an Italian dinner table in 1987.
This is something that I will explain. Jordi was always a little bit aside as he was a Beta factory rider who was working with Pedro
Olle but in 1986 and 1987 because of the Spanish FA.
Olle but in 1986 and 1987 because of the Spanish FA.
From left to right. Beta mechanic Mauri. Beta owner Ingerieri Bianchi and Bona Bianchi his wife. Then Beta mechanic Fabio Biscardi. Then Beta sales director Claude.
The Spanish FA was Gallach and Andreu Codina, Joan Freixas and myself and from time to time Jose Jones who was a rider from Galicia and then Salva Garcia, oh and also Ronald Garcia. The core of the group was Codina, Freixas, Gallach and myself.

So we were opponents but at the same time we spend so much time together, then obviously we got friends because in trials there is not a direct contact so it was good. Jordi was bit more professional, but it was thanks to the Spanish Federation that we managed to do the races and we managed to do the World Championship because at this time factories had no money to send us to the World Championship because they had invested their money into the factory.
