VISIT THE The RFME Spanish Federation truck and compound
These photos were taken at the 2013 Uk World Trial in Penrith. I visited the RFME ( Real Federation Motoclista Espanola ) truck to say hello to Francesc and Pol Tarres who i have met a number of occasions before. The rest is pictured below. The photos provide an insight into life on the road for the Spanish Federation sponsored riders . These riders are those who fall slightly short of receiving full factory support. They often have partial sponsorship but still have to make their own way to events . The Spanish Federation of Motorsports , rather like the Italian equivalent each have a huge transporter ,with driver and manager. Riders who havent quite got full factory support and why are deemed good enough are lucky enough to be selected to get a space on the truck. The truck has 6 berths . This consists of 4 riders and 2 managers who also share the driving. Parents of the supported riders can come in the truck , but they have to find their own accommodation.
This useful and significant support for developing riders is one reason why Spain produces trials riders of the highest quality and plenty of them too.

This is Gabriel Reyes. He is one of the SPEA managers. In the 90's and noughties he was a top rider himself. He is most remembered for completing the Scottish Six days Trial on an Ossa Explorer . This is a hybrid bike and a cross between a Trials and an Enduro bike.
