An Excellent club trial site on mainly slippery banks. There was nothing to challenging but still enough for me to make some daft mistakes. Prior to this event i made a slight modification to the chain tensioner. It was rubbing slightly on the tyre at low pressures .It wasnt enough to mark the tyre so i could have left it .It wasnt that bad but i wanted it right.
I took the wheel out and reduced its width by 50%. The alloy was about 3.5mm thick , so it still has plenty of strength left in it especially as the force exerted on it is vertical.
In this photo you can see how close it was. Its now much further away and only took 15 mins to sort

before - when the tyre pressure is low it rubs a little
after - an improvement. I run the tyre at 3 psi in english mud and it rubs much mess
The JTG performed brilliantly. Its just starting to bed in now and ive all of made my adjustments. Oh , i changed the engine oil for the first time time after 4 trials. The oil still had colour in it and hadnt gone black showing it still had life in it and there wasn't unnecessary friction in the bottom end. Petrol / oil - I run this 70-1.
