The exquisite classic / retro Trials photo collection by Justyn Norek
The 1978 Transama designed by Rene Maltry on behalf of Pesaro Trans motorcycles. Fitted with a 320cc Hiro engine as developed by Sammy Miller ...and in fact the most influential and popular trials engine of all time. The big engine hangs from the huge backbone frame. The fuel tank is fitted low under the seat and needed a diaphragm pump to supply the fuel. Although it would be thought that the performance of the engine would be more than enough , the air filter mounted in the frame restricted the engine greatly . A very unusual and collectable trials bike build in very small numbers
Pesaro Trans closed in the late 70's along with a number of other Italian motorcycle manufacturers.
